I am a contemporary sculptress-installation artist-environmental artist. My works have a tendency to be large in size and often the pieces consist of several objects. Space and the viewer's relationship to it is a key factor in my sculptures and installations. It is important that my works are an experience for the viewer: affecting them visually, emotionally, intellectually and philosophically. I am interested in commenting on the surrounding environment, taking up ethical questions. Working with wood has been an important part of my artistic practice, but the materials vary. In my latest works the incorporation of sound, light and movement has increasingly gained in importance.
My works can be regarded as absence sculpture. I use objects associated with human presence, though, in the works, that presence is absent. I depict actions which have ended, and the people left. My works can also be seen as process sculpture. They are still pictures from chains of events that only partially are revealed.
